1. Security principles
We design the Edith website around data minimization: free PDF tools keep your files on your device, and our servers handle only the limited data needed to operate the site and abuse protection.
2. Free web tools
Web tools run client-side in your browser. PDF bytes are not sent to Edith servers for tool processing. Free tools do not call licensing or telemetry APIs. You are responsible for securing your device and downloaded files.
3. Transport and hosting
- HTTPS/TLS is used for https://edith.quinsy.app
- backend APIs use server-side credentials and do not expose direct database access to browsers
- API rate limiting helps mitigate automated abuse
- fonts and client-side libraries for the website and free tools are self-hosted on https://edith.quinsy.app (no Google Fonts or public script CDNs)
4. Vulnerability reporting
If you believe you have found a security issue affecting https://edith.quinsy.app, report it to privacy@quinsy.app with enough detail for reproduction. Please do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities before we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate.
5. No absolute guarantee
No website or browser-based tool can be guaranteed completely secure. We take reasonable steps to protect the service, but you use the website at your own risk.
6. Changes
We may update this website Security Policy from time to time.
