These terms govern your use of:
- the Edith marketing website
- free browser-based PDF tools offered on the website
- links and information about the Edith PDF Chrome extension
Use of the Edith PDF Chrome extension is governed by the separate Terms & Conditions presented inside the extension.
3. Free web tools
Free PDF tools are provided on an "as is" basis for personal or internal business use. You are responsible for:
- the legality of files you process
- maintaining backups
- reviewing output before sharing or signing documents
We do not guarantee that tool output will meet any particular legal, regulatory, or formatting requirement. PDF output from our tools is not legal advice.
4. License purchases and digital goods
Purchases of Edith PDF lifetime licenses are processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for payment and invoicing. Additional payment-provider terms may apply at checkout.
License entitlements apply to the Chrome extension as described at purchase and in the extension terms. Refund requests for paid licenses are handled according to Lemon Squeezy's refund policy and applicable consumer law.
5. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the website to:
- interfere with normal operation or security controls
- attempt unauthorized access to our systems
- use the service for unlawful, infringing, or abusive purposes
6. Intellectual property
The Edith website, branding, and tool interfaces are owned by Quinsy UG (haftungsbeschränkt) or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The website and free tools are provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quinsy UG (haftungsbeschränkt) will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or free tools.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from website use will not exceed EUR 50 unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
9. Governing law
Unless mandatory consumer law in your place of residence requires otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
